Teachers finding it difficult to use technology effectively

Teachers may indeed find it very difficult to use technology effectively as they do not have the background information to use the technology that is available. On the other hand most of the teachers are at school and have no time to use the technology available. another thing that will prevent the teachers from using technology effectively woud be location. Some of the teachers are in ver remote areas and do not have access to the technology

Teachers find it difficult to use technology effectively because of a lack of exposure to these new inventions. The schools are usually lacking funds and thus make it impossible for the teachers to get a hand on experience using modern technology. In many instances teachers are lacking totally in training on how to integrate the use of such technology. This consequently leaves teachers and students lagging behind.

Some teachers find it difficult to use technology for most of them have not had the neccessary background in school so they have that problem for me I have a bit of problem for I was just expose to it at Technical sixth form for probably 1 1/2 years and still had problems adapting to it so it is very good that it being put into the schools at an early stage and even at home.

The greatest challenge that teachers face is the use of technology due to the fact that many require more advanced training in the field of application of technological concepts. In other cases, teachers are very capabable of using technology but lack the availability of such facilities/centres.

Personally speaking the first time I was exposed to the use of technology specifically a computer was when I started UB. It was quite a challenge. The reason why teachers have difficulty using technology is due to lack of exposure. First of all most of our Belizean schools are not equipped with technology. I do believe that it is high time that these things are seen as a necessity and teaching tool which enhance the teaching and learning which takes place in the classroom. Most students are exposed to the use of technology than do many of their teachers. It is important that teachers do have at least the basic idea of for example, researching, because information keeps changing and as teachers we should always be informed with current information.

Many teachers find it difficult to use technology effectively, simpy because teachers are not trained to use technology, they lack the interest to learn and are not aware of all the advatages that technology can porvide to them.Also a major factor that hinders the effective use of technology is the fact that many school are not equip with computers and other technological advances, such as LCD porjectors, CD players etc. which would benefit greatly in the teaching /learning process making life easier for both teachers and studetns.
