Technology has evolved at a rapidly over the past 50 years. What began as a room full of very expensive equipment can be done today by a calculator. Many institution have to take advantage of this technology since most of today's technology will be obsolete tomorrow.

Learning in the classroom can be both an enjoyment and educational since this era of technology have improved teaching methods that be used to enhance better classroom assessment.

Technology is a catalyst indeed for it makes our life easy and comfortable. It allows us to do research, it enables us to gain a weatlh of knowledge. One thing we need to take into consideration is fact that it has its negative impact. We need to be mindful that our culture is vital in our lives and with technology that can be lost.[/size]

Miss this is so true, i mean look as us now, we are doing something never done before at the University of Belize. We are now having online class which i believe benefits us a great deal. If we were not online, we would have to be in UB late at night having classes. This forum allows us to use the skills we now have and apply it to this forum which I believe further enhances our skills. As teachers we are all here to further our knowledge, as teacher our interests should be in sharing that knowledge with which ever students we come across. As students get updated with technology we know that they now stand a better chance of surviving in this working environment.

technology can cause a positive and negative reaction in the learning cycle. technology is something that can be positive it enchanced the students learning by having them researching and creating posters and other school work that needs to be completed. the negative aspect is that technology can become an addiction in the sense that the students would spent hours in front of the computer. they will not want to go outside to play or the next thing that can happen is that they can develop eye problem for staying so long in front of the computer

The use of technology provides an opportunity for both the students and teachers in the classroom. It can be used to enhance teaching for the teacher and as an enhancement tool for the students. It is easy for the teacher to disseminate information to the students at a faster rate than simply writing information on paper. Things like visual representation can be done for those students who are visual learners. Using the chat can also be a way of sharing information among students and between students and teacher.

Technology a catalyst for teaching an learning in the class. Technology plays a crucial role in our life because it makes teaching much easier for some teachers because some teacher use power point to teach student. It makes learning in class better because student can always research information which is unknown to them,

I totally agree to that statement. Due to the benefit of technology I was able to accomplish a lot. in my every day activities at UB it helps me to do my assignments and researches. if it was not for technology, I would not be this far.
