Chosing modern up-to-date technology

Because of financial constraints, schools and districts might choose one type of technology over another simply because it is less expensive or because it is all they can afford initially. Such manner of purchasing can lead to inadequate selections that soon become obsolete.

This can be avoided if they they purchase quality products that will last a long time. Purchasing inferior products will only result in overspending. Therefore, the only one who will suffer will be our students because they will not have the necessary equipment available for them to used at school.

Many times donation from international organization are made to our schools. Computers that are given are, most times, out dated or almost useless for our students. The cost of purchasing news computers is expensive but if we want the best for our children it, then it is a sacrifices that must be made. The world is changing fast many foreign school made change and if we want our children to be competitive we must also change with them

Modern up-to-date technology can only be obtained through fund-raising and direct purchasing from the stores since most of the donating agencies would normally give us over used technology. This would provide uptimum progress and achievements in uplifting the quality of education for our children.

Many of our belizean school lack the capacity and finance to have up-to-date technology. It is a sad situation. Today technology changes every single day and as such we need to be well informed of these changes. Regardless of our situation as teacher we should try our best to be up to date. We should also persuade our principals or administrators to not take or buy anything but only modern up-to-date technology.

choosing up to date technology is something that would be wonderful to have in our classrooms but it is something that the public schools can't afford. what i think is that the government should increase the budget for education. since education helps build a nation.

Modern technology is expensive but effective. In many instances schools cannot afford the best of technology and so settle for whatever is affordable which in most cases is not the best. In order to solve this problem schools need more proactive staff, students, parents and even the business community to get involved in procuring much needed equipment.

we definitely lack the capacity and finance to get the most effective, modern and best tools. Not only are the prices in Belize sky-high but also the few companies that offer technological products do not get enough to satisfy the demand..........sometimes to get the best we have to wait for them to order it from abroad..........this is time-consuming and costly.........so we settle for what is offered many times causing a double headache over it.

For learning it is of utmost important that the best in technology is obtained. It is true that it might be expensive most of the times but it is essential to get the best so that leaning would be both efficient and effective.

choosing the modern up to date technology is essential because it up to date you with information let us try not to use those old computer they are set back they have the tendacy to move slow or limited you because they do not have programs like the up to date computer let us not limit ourself and get the modern up to date technology

It is very good to choose modern up to date technology but some schools or individuals does not have the appropriate funding to be up to date and just have to work with what is being provided to them. It does help to have up to date technology for it gives us first hand information so as to be on top and not be behind it gives the children a good feeling to be familiar with technology and be on the same level with other students and not feel left out.

Government Ministers need to dedicate more time to our schools' technological needs, especillay in the poorer areas of Belize. Teachers in these areas are sometimes so crippled; and if they only had more funding, their students, and Belize would greatly benefit. Principals and the Minister of Education need to get behind the Prime Minister for more funding. We are now in a state that without technology and keeping with the times, we are truly stuck.

Yes, it is very expensive..............but we must not sacrifice quality for quantity..............if we want the best, we must get the best..............there are means.............we just have to exploit them all..............government involvement is the best............but also, we need to reach within our community and ask for help.............after all it is there children in our schools............surely they want the best for them and technology offers the best lately............fund raisers are a great way.............another thing.........we need to get it all that is required for what ever venue we are interested in...........get it in parts first..........but it completely..........slowly, but surely..........

Not only is it the finance that allows for the choosing of up to date technology.
We need to also realize that most people are not even educated to know which technology is the best. When purchasing technology most people depend on the salesperson to dictate which equipment is the best. More often we are pushed to buy the most expensive one by the salesperson, because we think that if it is the most expensive then it is the best.

I agree that implementing the use of technology in the school is very expensive but there is a way for everything. If a school is purchasing materials to start a program in technology then I as the teacher must encourage my principal to go for the best. We must purchase quality material that will lost longer. There are many ways to obtain financing to purchase the materials but the interest of the parents, students and teachers needs to be there. It only requires a little sacrifice and with sacrifice there are great rewards.
